How to Protect Your Alloy Wheels
Brake dust and kerbs are the enemies of alloys. Here is how to keep them looking new.
Alloy wheels make or break a car's look. Protect them with these tips.
Ceramic coat your wheels
Wheel-specific ceramic coatings resist brake dust and heat, so wheels clean with just a rinse and shampoo.
Clean them correctly
- Use a pH-balanced wheel cleaner
- Separate brushes and buckets for wheels
- Never clean hot wheels
Avoid kerbing
Wider-sidewall tyres and careful parking help. If damage happens, refurbishment restores the finish.
DMS offers wheel coating as part of our ceramic packages.
